The 10th annual “Swim Across the Lake was held on August 9th. It was a very successful event with forty swimmers participating this year. All swimmers received a participation T-shirt and enjoyed the hot dogs and refreshments on the beach. A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the swim, especially my neighbors in Dasnier’s Bay who volunteered to help with not much notice. The Swim raised almost $1400.00 this year and the funds will be put towards children’s water activities in Seymour Arm. Although the Swim is not considered a race, we do time the swimmers just for fun. The top eleven swimmers are listed below with their swim times. Please excuse the spelling of names and the missing last names. Thank you to all the swimmers who participated this year. You all did a great job!
