Road update:
I have received the following from Forestry roads:
We are planning on spreading the last of the aggregate and calcium and regrade the road starting April 26, 2010. There will not be any road restrictions but may be minor delays, flag people will be on site. Project should last 5-7 days. Please use caution while traveling on the Seymour Main from 0 to 41 km .
Please all drive safe, the road is wonderful, lets all live for tomorrow. Have a great summer.

WANTED – SWIM INSTRUCTOR
To teach lessons in the lake during summer 2010 – dates are negotiable, August preferred.
We prefer to hire an instructor within our community (friends or family of residents or summer cabin owners or campers at Silver Beach) however, applications from all interested parties will be accepted. This is a paid position, which could run 1 – 3 weeks depending on number of participants. Accommodations may be available if required.

Road and Snow Conditions for April 4 2010 Thanks to John Castle
Road Update: April 4, 2010.
Road conditions have now returned to their good status. Grading took place on both the Seymour Arm Main and the town roads.
In all instances please use extreme caution and drive safely. I will keep all advised when next crush and calcium applied.

Arm from the spring o1940 to 1942.Reading the book
reminded me of many things from back then. I
remember the Collins brothers very well as they
treated us kids great, also Vern Daniels would come
and visit us quite often. We called Seymour Arm the
mosquito capital of BC.

We're having a very warm and
snowless winter here.
Probably only about 8" of
wet soggy snow out there. We
are still driving the cutter
on the beach as a matter of
fact which would normally be
impossible.

We are presently using them to eliminate odors in rental
properties and homes for sale. With the high humidity in
Seymour Arm in the fall, winter, and spring, cabins have
a build up of mold etc. Ozone will eliminate odors in a
couple of hours.
